Lantern Project - 2013
From October to
December 2013, hundreds of people took part in a big arts project across
South East Northumberland. The project
supported people to learn new skills, work with professional artists and take
part in public events.
In October, over 40 group leaders, representing 19 community organisations,
from scouts to family therapy centres joined professional artists to learn
how to make delicate paper and willow lanterns. They then passed
on their new skills and over 300 lanterns were made.
